GREEN METERING SOLUTIONS MEET YOUR LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

SCADA International has an extensive experience in the field and a proven track record in delivering Green Metering solutions and the necessary documentation that are in accordance with both customer needs and local requirements.

Do I need to have Green Metering Solution? Yes, if you can relate to one or more of following needs and challenges:

CLARITY AND TRANSPARENCY OF BONUS SCHEMES AND REGULATION OF GREEN CERTIFICATES

LACK OF INSIGHT OF VALUE WHEN TRADING GREEN CERTIFICATES

SUPPLIER THAT UNDERSTANDS HOW TO JUSTIFY THE VALUE OF GREEN CERTIFICATES

WHAT IS A GREEN CERTIFICATE?

A Green Certificate is a terminology used in Europe and known also as Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) in the USA, is a tradable commodity proving that certain amount of electricity is generated using renewable energy sources.

Green Certificates represent the environmental value of renewable energy generated.

WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE?

Once in the grid, renewable energy is impossible to separate from the conventionally generated energy and therefore the energy producer needs to somehow prove the amount of green energy that has been delivered to the grid and in such way that it lives up to local legislation. To do so, a Green Metering solution is required.

GREEN METERING SOLUTIONS

Based on our extensive market knowledge and engineering competences we design both hardware and software solutions to secure maximum gain from power generation in markets with bonus schemes and regulations like Green Certificates and Direct Trading

Green Metering Solutions delivered by SCADA International measure power production at wind turbine generator level and provides a customized utility interface and an explicit central power generation overview.

On the European market Low Voltage Measurement (LVM) has been the most common solution in the area of Green Metering and SCADA International is the market leader in that field.

“We accomplished in good cooperation with SCADA International a very challenging complex time driven engineering project, Green Energy Meter. It was right on time, tough and very intensive work but customer satisfaction focused and on an open convenient manner.”

TECHNOLOGY

SCADA International's Green Metering Solution mesures production without any cable and transformer loss on the low voltage side of the transformer. By using the Green Metering Solution unit, revenue on the produced energy will increase. The solution is designed to measure the actual power produced at the low voltage terminals at each renewable asset - discarding the power loss in the transformer and the tower cable. Any system losses within the electrical renewable energy plant infrastructure and losses within the main substation transformer will also be discarded.

FEATURES

Solution is designed for the energy meters' remote access and is delivered either as a stand-alone solution, and optional solution included with our server, or as a built-in solution in an existing SCADA server. Our server performs data logging, database and predefined reports. The information is available for both utilities and renewable asset owners in a customized interface. The communication is supported by GSM/GPRS, Serial or Ethernet.

It is a customized solution which works in accordance to legal requirements both High and Low Voltage Metering.  It is equipped with communication protocols DLMS Protocol via RS485 and Ethernet Protocol (TCP/IP).

BENEFITS

When choosing Green Metering Solutions from SCADA International you secure the maximum payment from power generation in markets with bonus schemes, similar to Green Certificates

You will be eligible to compensation for losses that occur from point at turbine generator to grid point.

Furthermore, you receive a customized user and third party friendly interface in an explicit central power generation overview from a company with an extensive track record.
