OneView® Universal Park Controller
Take full ownership of your wind parks with independent control
The aging of technology at power plants and the scalability of projects can disrupt your power plants’ performance. Many plant owners are dealing with outdated power regulation software that doesn’t comply with new, strict grid and environmental regulations, limiting their options in securing their assets’ lifetime and improving wind turbine efficiency.
The OneView® Universal Park Controller is a control system integrator that can replace the existing power plant controller. With independent power control functionalities, you have full ownership of managing the power and seamless integration with third parties needing access to your plant.
Comply with environmental
requirements based on rules
Automatic power control
with easy grid connection
Standard control solution
that works across brands
Optimize power production
and wind turbine efficiency
Comply with grid requirements automatically
The OneView® Universal Park Controller complies with local grid code requirements by controlling the connected units. The solution sends command signals to the units, and these are calculated on the control algorithm, the received energy set-points, and actual measurements at the point of common coupling.
Independent renewable power management
The OneView® Universal Park Controller goes hand in hand with our unified Park SCADA software. Combining the two solutions gives you independent ownership of data, monitoring, analysis, and reporting, together with advanced control capabilities that enable operators to accurately manage power fluctuations and overall performance.
Why choose the OneView® Universal Park Controller?
- Get access to individual turbines and control with advanced algorithms for power regulation
- Optimize wind turbine efficiency with a SCADA control integrator and increase your earnings
- Comply with grid and environmental regulations and fulfill requirements from the utility
- Secure accurate power control with curtailment functions
- Integrate to multiple trading companies, allowing them to control the power output automatically
- Get an independent control solution that enables easy and fast scalability
- Configure and adjust the system flawlessly to fulfill project-specific requirements and assure the scalability of the technologies
The park controller is a modular concept. The standard system includes connecting to the point of common coupling (PCC) with one utility, one grid meter, and several turbines. Depending on the plant layout and communication infrastructure, the system enables interfacing to:
- Interfacing to or replacing different power plant controllers
- Wind turbines
- Capacitor banks
- Grid measurement equipment
- Utility
- Third parties (e.g., traders)
The park controller can fulfill several control functions for active and reactive power control at the point of common coupling (PCC). These control functions are supported by:
- Cos phi control
- Voltage control
- Frequency control
- Active power ramping
- Active and reactive power control
- Sector management
- Aviation lights/visibility sensor
- External bat/bird control
- External ice detection and shadow control
Besides the standard control algorithms, site-specific and customized controls can be implemented to meet any requirements.
The control unit supports a list of communication protocols for utility/trader, subunits, and grid meters. Supported communication protocols:
