Unidad de control de energía OneView
Control the power production from your mixed power plant
With the rise in mixed wind power plants, asset owners are in need of a unified control solution that complies with increasing grid requirements while optimizing power production by utilizing the produced energy in the best possible way.
The OneView® Energy Control Unit is a combined wind turbine controller that brings production from diverse wind turbine types and brands together in one control unit at the point of common coupling (PPC). The unit works as a master power plant controller, allowing you to control various WTGs in one single system.
Energy controller for mixed
parks with various WTGs
Automatic power control
with easy grid connection
Analyze and monitor live
and historical data
Certified with DNV GL
component certification
Reliable and flexible power management
The OneView® Energy Control Unit is compatible with a wide range of wind turbine control systems and, in that way, enables different OEMs at the point of common coupling (PCC), WP extensions, and different operators at the PPC, e.g., grid operators and power traders.
By communicating directly with the power plant, the solution makes it easy and cost-effective to receive and send set points from a utility provider to the wind parks, both automatically and manually, through a simple and user- friendly interface.
The control unit measures the power at the grid connection point in order to regulate the wind turbine power output from the power plant so it matches the given set point. In that way, you are ensured that the power is stabilized and balanced.
Secure compliance with local grid requirements
The OneView® Energy Control Unit is certified according to DNV GL and designed to comply with local grid code requirements by interfacing with substation controllers and other equipment like grid analyzers and energy meters.
Manage multiple traders in a single view
The control unit allows you to provide access for multiple traders in one unified system, giving you a clear overview of all the parks curtailed by different power traders.
Usually, each OEM provides integration to the traders. However, in mixed parks with multiple OEMs, this becomes troublesome for you as an owner, as you might have several traders with no full overview of why the park has been stopped.
For availability purposes, you need a complete overview of curtailment causes, which the OneView® Energy Control Unit can give you – eliminating the complexity of handling multiple traders.
By letting SCADA International handle the complex trading setup centrally, you will have one point of access, providing you with a clear overview of who is curtailing your assets.
What does the OneView® Energy Control Unit include?
- Integration of the substation controllers, grid analyzers, and energy meters
- Automatic control with curtailment function and other customized control functions
- Control de la potencia activa y reactiva
- Web client with a production overview and lost production reporting
- Access to historical and live data
- Storing of historical data, alarms, and events
- Notifications on live alarms and events
- Communication with any standard interface – including analog and digital signals
- Different power plant controllers
- Wind turbines
- Solar PV inverters
- Capacitor banks
- Grid measurement equipment
- Utility
- Third parties (e.g., traders)
The commanding signals of the energy units (sub-units) are calculated based on the regulation algorithm, the received energy set points, and the actual measurements at the point of common coupling.
These regulation methods are supported by:
- Control de Cos phi
- Control de la tensión
- Control de frecuencia
- Rampa de potencia activa
- Control de la potencia activa y reactiva
Besides the standard control algorithms, site-specific and customized controls can be implemented to meet any requirements. This could be substation equipment, event-triggered controls (shadow, noise, wind speed, etc.), or controls according to different time schedules.
Reactive power set points can also be distributed to sub-energy parks based on the possible capacitive/inductive capability of each sub-energy park. The reactive power regulation can run both Q-ref mode and Cos phi mode.
The control unit supports a list of communication protocols for utility/trader, subunits, and grid meters.
Supported communication protocols:
- Modbus TCP/IP
- Modbus RTU
- IEC 60870-5-104
- IEC 60870-5-101
- DNP3 TCP/IP
- DNP3 Serial
- IEC 61850
- Digital (optional)
- Analog (optional)
- Server
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
- Grid meter
- UPS
- Router
- Firewall
